Travis Owens Paintings

We wanted to feature 2D artists this week and chose to start with Travis Owens Paintings. We’ve known Travis for several years from seeing him at shows around the Indianapolis area starting at a small show at a brewery back in 2022.

Travis’ work is always very eye-catching and will often, but not always, include an Indiana theme. Using acrylic on canvas for his original work, the colors are always vibrant and sharp, enabling Travis to build layers into his work that always leave something else to discover as you view it.

In addition to original acrylic on canvas paintings, Travis sells giclee prints of his work as well as stickers and magnets. Giclee prints provides a high quality image but keeps the cost much lower as the pieces are reproductions and require much less time to produce than originals.

You will find a wide variety of work from Travis. Some of my favorite pieces are the campfire series where the smoke and embers form a map or other shapes in the sky. I also enjoy the race-themed pieces, particularly as we are nearing the Indy 500 coming up soon.
